My husband and I just returned from an amazing trip to the Florida Keys. While we were there, we swam with stingrays.
I have always loved stingrays and could not pass up the opportunity to interact with them. Before we swam with them, we fed them. They feasted upon squid. You are told how to hold the squid between your fingers in a fist. One of my squid slipped out, but was sucked by one of the stingrays. I said that they were like little Roombas of the sea, sucking up whatever they want to eat. Apparently, one of the rays did not like my reference and bit me when I tried to feed it. I have a nice gash on my middle finger that I have been proudly showing off. Look! I was attacked by a stingray!
